I lost close to 30lbs last spring/summer, aside from after having my daughter that’s the most I’ve ever lost ever! I felt so good about myself, I had more energy, I didn’t crave the ‘bad’ foods I had so lovingly embraced in the past; I was on my way to a healthier Ashley.
Many people have their own successful way of losing those unwanted pounds. Some go by portion control (like I did), over-the-counter remedies, and some even have found diet pills that work for their specific goal.
Whichever way you want to lose weight, make sure you stay healthy while doing it. Losing weight isn’t worth risks to your health; just like being overweight isn’t. Consult a doctor before trying anything ’serious’.

Ross made a cute area on the side of the house for a flower garden. Yesterday Jordan and I went to the store and bought gardening tools, some foam knee pads to kneel on, two watering jugs (one for each of us) and more seeds.
We worked the ground and planted poppies, marigolds, zinnia’s, phlox, periwinkle… and one more I can’t remember right now. We’re going to plant sunflower seeds later today. This weekend I’ll probably pick up some already grown plants and put them in the front yard.

I admit, I am a big impulse shopper. If I see something I like, and I *need* it right then and there… I have to buy it. I don’t usually shop around for better deals; unless the product is expensive. If that’s the case, I’ll calm down the need to buy it right away and do some searching for the best buy I can find.
I need a new printer. The one I bought last year before I got my laptop was perfect, an all-in-one and is still full of ink. Why do I need a new one? Well, that one isn’t compatible with Vista and they haven’t made a driver to fix the problem.
So, I look in the flyers every week for deals on printers, but I’m starting to think I should just look online. Sites like buy.com seem to have great deals on printers. I think I might check it out!

I had a great Mother’s Day today! It started by waking up to Ross making us pancakes for breakfast, then going to Gramma’s for lunch and coming home to dinner. Ross made boneless/skinless stuffed chicken breasts. He stuffed them with cream cheese, shredded marble cheese and spinach; with caesar salad and garlic bread as sides… I was so full I was glad I was wearing sweat pants!
I got an RCA Lyra mp3 player and some seeds for my flower garden! Tomorrow Jordan and I will go to the store to pick up some more gardening tools, gloves, and knee pads for kneeling. She wants to help me plant the seeds. She planted beans in Sunday School, and they’re growing, so it excited her to talk about planting more with me.
I got my Mom a beautiful (HUGE!) hanging basket full of light blue pansies, as well as a card (which made me tear up reading in the store… I’m so emotional being pregnant!).
Speaking of pregnant, I hit 25 weeks on Friday! Seriously, this is going by so quickly, except of course the last few weeks that seem to drag by… you mom’s know what I mean!
Anyway, I’m going to make a cup of tea and watch a movie… ciao!
